Grey B. Culberson

Grey B. Culberson, 84 of Lakeland passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Florida Presbyterian Home.

He was born June 2, 1931 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Gerald and Margaret Culberson; he came to the area from Darien, IL in 1981 and moved to Lakeland five years ago. He was the owner/operator of Water International, was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales, where he served as an Elder and taught adult Sunday school. He was a veteran of Korea, serving in counter-intelligence in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn S. Culberson; daughters, Christine Dattilo (Joseph) of Boston, MA and Kimberly Avery (Ron) of Winter Haven; son, Kent Grey Culberson (Jaime) of Lakeland; brothers, Gerald W. Culberson of Atlanta, GA and Eugene Culberson of Lake Wales; sister, Suzanne E. Powell of South Lake, TX; three grandchildren, Bethany Rutledge, Jonathan Avery and Matthew Dattilo; two great-grandchildren, Payton Avery and Paisley Avery.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Wales with Rev. Chad Reynolds officiating.
