Goldie Asbury

Goldie Asbury passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, at her son’s residence in Orlando. She was born on November 26, 1933, in Xenia, Illinois. Goldie dedicated much of her life to being a homemaker, nurturing her family and creating a warm and loving home.

She was a faithful member of the West Side Baptist Church in Lake Wales, where she found community and comfort throughout her years.

Goldie was preceded in death by her husband, Glen A. Asbury, and her son, Allen R. Asbury. She was also the daughter of Lee and Enid Bennett. She leaves behind her daughter, Ruth M. Johnson of Winter Haven, and her son, Roy L. Asbury, along with his wife Alison, of Orlando. Goldie’s legacy continues through her seven beloved grandchildren who will carry her memory forward in their hearts.

Goldie Asbury will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and devotion to her family. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Lake Wales Cemetery.
