Glenn L. Harrell

Glenn L. Harrell of Babson Park passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born September 5, 1927 in Sale City, GA to the late Hiram P. & Minnie Lee (Shirah) Harrell; he moved to Lake Wales from Avon Park in 1943. He was retired from the City of Lake Wales after 28 years of service as a fire fighter and a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales.

Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Mary J. Harrell in 2004. Survivors include his daughter, Glenda M. Harrison of Lake Wales; a son, Paul J. Harrell of Lake Wales; two brothers, Windle Harrell of Lake Wales and Leon "Bud" Harrell of Wauchula; two sisters, Catherine Rudd of Lakeland and Ruby Martin of Lakeland; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the funeral service at 2:00 pm Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
