Glenn Samuel Byers, 78

Glenn Samuel Byers of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at his home.

He was born September 14, 1944, in Coldwater, MI to the late Samuel W. & Betty Byers; he came to Frostproof in 2017 from Michigan. He was a retired forester for the State of Michigan, a member of the Assembly of God church and served in the U.S. Army. He was a jokester and an outdoorsman. He was an avid sportsman and especially loved bass fishing. He got saved in the last two years and his favorite saying was, “Never say goodbye, it's see you later.”

Glenn was preceded in death by his son, William Andrew Byers. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sharon Byers; daughters, Jennifer Thompson (Alan) of Frostproof, Jodi Byers of Marian, OH, Carla Byers of Lansing, MI and Stephanie Byers of Kalkaska, MI; sons, Ryan Byers of Kalamazoo, MI and Matthew Byers (fiancé, Malynela Cole) of Traverse City, MI; sister, Connie Towne (Don) of Trevor City, MI; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Celebration of life will be held on April 7th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Shepherd’s Community Fellowship Hall in Frostproof.
