Glenn Blackwelder

David "Glenn" Blackwelder, 56

David "Glenn" Blackwelder of Frostproof passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023 at his parents residence in Avon Park while visiting them.

He was born March 21, 1967 in Orlando; he moved to Frostproof from Naples in 2009. Glenn was an Operations Manager for NTT. He enjoyed all sports but was the number one fan for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Glenn loved the town of Frostproof and loved his family dearly.

Glenn was preceded in death by his wife, Shannon Moore Chesser in 2022; and father, David Monroe Blackwelder, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Dale Encinosa; second father, George Encinosa; sisters, Beth Fromm, Jessica Blackwelder, Jennifer Blum, and Kimberly Siler; and stepbrother, Chris Seymore.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Frostproof. A lunch will be held following the service.
