Glenda Johnson

Glenda S. Johnson, 76 of Frostproof, Florida passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Florida Hospital in Tampa.

She was born on October 22, 1940 in Alma, Georgia to the late James H. and Rachel (Strickland) Boatright and she has been a resident of this area since 1967 moving here from Georgia. She was a retired Citrus Packer for Ben Hill Griffin, Inc. Glenda loved spending time with her grandchildren and her church family. She attended God’s Family Assembly in Frostproof.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milford Johnson in 2013, son, Clint Johnson in 1990; sister, Gloria Carter and her brother, McCoy Boatright.

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Johnson of Frostproof; sisters, Shirley Turner of Mershon, GA, Randy Crews of Mershon, GA; brothers, Buddy Boatright (Janice) of Blackshear, GA, Bill Boatright (Cheri) of Seattle, WA; 4 grandchildren, Brianna Gilmore, Hannah Gilmore, Logan Gilmore and Noah Gilmore.

Visitation will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, January 28, 2017 at God’s Family Assembly with funeral services being held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Wrynn Collins officiating. Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
