LAKE WALES -- Mr. Glen Browning of Lake Wales died of heart failure Thursday (Oct. 6, 2005) at The Groves Center. He was 79.
Born in Lake Wales on Feb. 9, 1926, he was a lifelong resident. He was a retired trim engineer for Findlay Industries. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was also a Naval reserve for 30 years, serving as a chief petty officer. He was a member of the Lake Wales VFW, and the Moose Lodge. He was a Protestant.
Mr. Browning was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Browning. He is survived by his son, Kenneth G. Browning, Los Angeles; brother, Gilbert Browning, Lake Wales.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Lake Wales. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Lake Wales Cemetery.
