Glen Atwell Asbury, 85

Glen A. Asbury of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at Winter Haven Hospital.

He was born December 29, 1930 in Columbia, Missouri to the late Roy L. and Idalee (Roberts) Asbury. He has been a resident of the area since 1990 coming from Manteno, Illinois. He was an Overhead Crane Operator for Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He was a member of the Westside Baptist Church. Glen was active in his church and enjoyed wood working.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Ralph Asbury and Fred Asbury.

He is survived by his wife of Goldie E. Asbury of Lake Wales, FL, daughter Ruth M. Johnson of Winter Haven, FL, sons Allen R. Asbury (Norma) of Brooklyn, NY, Roy L. Asbury (Alison) of Orlando, FL, brother Clarence Asbury of Steger, Ill, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 9:00 AM until service time at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Bolden officiating. Interment will be held at Lake Wales Cemetery.
