LAKE WALES--Gerald Brown, 80, of Lake Wales died Thursday, July 05, 2007 at his residence.

Born September 16, 1926 in Candler County, GA; he came here from Georgia in 1939. He was a retired supervisor for Citrus World and a member of the Central Avenue Baptist Church. He was also a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Dorinda Brown of Lake Wales; son, Jerry Brown of Lake Wales; brother, Ernest Wilton Brown of Savannah, GA; sister, Mary Jane Mimbs of Parrish, FL; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 09, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Charles Cooper and Rev. Joseph Mimbs officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
