George E. Rhoden, Sr.

George E. Rhoden, Sr. of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 at his residence.

He was born February 25, 1950 in Lake Wales to the late James & Fannie Rhoden; and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a minister and a veteran of Vietnam, serving in the U.S. Navy.

George was preceded in death by his wife, LaJune Rhoden. Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Rhoden and Jennifer Rhoden both of Gainesville; sons, George Rhoden, Jr. and wife, Sandra and David Rhoden and wife, Nicole all of Gainesville; four grandchildren, Abigail, Hailey, Emily and Piper; sisters, Lue Clemons, Sue Richardson, Ruby Britt, Rosie Lewis and Mary Collins all of Lake Wales; and brother, Aubie Rhoden of Lake Wales.

Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
