George Irwin Owen, 74
George I. Owen of Lake Wales, Florida passed way Monday, November 25, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born November 29, 1944 in Kendallville, Indiana to the late Richard B. and Esther (Hall) Owen. He has been a resident of the area for 3 years coming from Corunna, Indiana. He was a retired Letter Carrier for the United States Post Office. George loved being with his family, going to the community pool, traveling and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his brother Richard Owen III.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol A. Owen, daughter Mary Ann Nelson and husband Phil of Fremont, IN, sons John D. Owen and wife Melissa of Ft. Wayne, IN, Jeff L. Owen of Indianapolis, IN, brothers Brice J. Owen of Albion, IN, James H. Owen of Albion, IN, 5 grandchildren Jordan Owen, Madison Owen, Jace Owen, Brittany Nelson, Jordan Nelson, 1 great grandchild Eligh Spradlin.
