George William Merrell, 84

George William Merrell of Frostproof passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Somers Hospice House.

He was born July 9, 1940 in New York to the late Clarence and Pearl Merrell; he moved to Frostproof from New York 22 years ago. George was the retired owner and operator of an Employment Agency and served with the United States Army from 1961 until 1963.

George is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pauline Marie Merrell; daughter, Janine Mason of New York; sons, David Merrell of Frostproof and Daniel Clarence Merrell of New York; brother, Arliss Merrell of Naples; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
