George Richard Cunningham, 74

George Richard Cunningham of Frostproof passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at his residence.

He was born May 22, 1950 in Fort Lauderdale; he moved to Frostproof from Fort Pierce in 2003. George was an employee of FP&L and a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He loved playing the organ in church, and had a special place in his heart for animals.

George was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sue Cunningham; sons, Brian Cunningham and Mark Cunningham; grandparents Rudolph and Alma Cunningham and Robert and Louise Gary.

He is survived by his daughters, Laura (Boyd) Caudill and Amy Cunningham; sons, Scott Cunningham, Todd (Dodi) Cunningham, and Glenn Cunningham; mother of his children and wife, Susan Cunningham;  several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Ellen (Jerry) Holoubek; uncles Bill Gary, Nick (Pat) Gary; aunts Linda (Jackie) Langston, Edna Cunningham Pettit;  companion Ida Hendrix; many furry families including Gwennie and Cali.

No services are scheduled at this time. Inurnment will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honor can be made to the charity of your choice.
