George Rodney Blackstone, 73

George Rodney Blackstone of Lake Wales passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at Advent Health Lake Wales.

He was born June 24, 1947 in Caribou, Maine to the late Wendell and Geraldine Blackstone; he moved to Lake Wales from San Jose, California 12 years ago. George was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving in Vietnam. He was a retired Taxi Driver and did photography for Sears.

George was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Burnap; and brother, Quentin Blackstone. He is survived by his sister, Kathryn Kelsey of Stafford, Virginia; brothers, Wendell Whittier Blackstone, Jr. of Ewing, New Jersey, and Fred Blackstone (Sheila) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
