Geneva Powers

Geneva Powers, 89 of Frostproof, Florida passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at the Grove Center due to heart failure.

She was born July 14, 1925 in Ft. Ridge, Tennessee to the late Kelly and Myrtle (Hubbard) Parrot. She has been a resident of the area since 2011 coming from Plymouth, Florida. She was a Citrus Grader for Plymouth Citrus for many years, she enjoyed crocheting and flower gardening and was of the Baptist Faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband Sneed Powers and son Jerry Powers.

Survivors include her daughters Diana S. Dice of Frostproof, FL, Jeannie Jackson and husband James of Tavares, FL, son Jack Powers of Winter Garden, FL, brother Harry Parrott of Lafollette, TN, 5 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Monday, November 24, 2014 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. James Glass officiating. Family will receive friends at 10:00AM until service time. Interment will be 3:00PM at Highland Memory Gardens in Apopka, Florida.
