FROSTPROOF--Gene McLean, 79, passed away December 6, 2007 due to heart failure at Winter Haven Hospital.
Born November 20, 1928, son of Carlie & Clera Myrtle McLean; he came to Frostproof from Avon Park in 1993. He was the pastor for Lighthouse Baptist Church and was a veteran of Korea, serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann McLean of Frostproof; son, Ken McLean of Lake Wales; brothers, David L. McLean & Reginald McLean both of Lake Wales; sister, Diane Bunner of Moorsville; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Family will be receiving friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Monday, December 10, 2007 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, Frostproof. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, Lake Wales.
