Gary Alexander Pruitt, Jr., “Boss”, a devoted husband, father, and friend, passed away on June 17, 2026, in Sebring, Florida. Born on July 29, 1984, in Lake Wales, Florida, Gary lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and a true love for his family and friends.

Gary was known for his helpful nature and unwavering support for those around him. He worked as a forklift driver at Ben Hill Griffin and throughout his career also contributed his skills at Lowe's and for Johnny Stevens. His work ethic and willingness to assist others were qualities that defined him.

He completed his education at the high school level and remained a passionate sports fan throughout his life. A lover of the Florida State Seminoles and the Carolina Panthers, he enjoyed golfing and fishing in his free time and took great joy in coaching Little League. Sports were not just a hobby but a central part of his life and community involvement. Gary was of the Christian faith.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Michelle Pruitt; his daughter, Alexa Pruitt of Frostproof; and his son, Camren Pruitt of Frostproof. He was the cherished son of Gary and Brenda Pruitt of Frostproof. He also leaves behind his sister, Candy Steedley of Avon Park, and his brother, Kyle Pruitt of Avon Park. Those who knew him will remember his warm spirit and the love he shared with his family.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation held at Marion Nelson Funeral Home, located at 196 Highway 630 East in Frostproof, FL, on June 19, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will take place the following day, June 20, 2026, at Frostproof Church of God at 104 Highway 630 East, Frostproof, FL, beginning at 2:00 PM.
