Gail Talley of Frostproof passed away Saturday, September 12, 2009 at her residence.

She was born February 22, 1952 in Frostproof, FL to the late James & Elizabeth (Arnold) Peavey; she was a long time resident of the area. She was a secretary specialist in the State Prison System and worked at the Avon Park Correctional Institution and the Martin County Correctional Institution. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Frostproof and was active in the Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed quilting, horseback riding and cooking. She was also a member of the Florida Cracker Trail Association.

Survivors include her sons, David Talley (Nicole) of LaBelle and Robert Talley (Nicole) of Okeechobee; sister, Susan Peavey of Fort Myers; brothers, Jimmy Peavey of Wauchula and Johnny Peavey of Frostproof; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in Frostproof. For those who wish, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in Frostproof.
