Freddie Harper, 73 of Lake Wales, Florida passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016 at his residence. He was born on January 10, 1943 in Florala, Alabama to the late Thad and Annis (Madden) Harper and he has been a lifelong resident of this area. He was a retired Machine Operator for McDonalds Construction. Freddie loved to cook. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and being outdoors, he especially loved his wife, children and his beautiful grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rondall “Ronnie” Harper in 2006. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Pauline Harper; daughters, Elaine Cobb of Lake Wales, Brenda Wilbanks husband Larry of Lake Wales; son, Paul Harper of Lake Wales; brothers, Austin Harper wife Mary of Lake Wales, Bobby Harper wife Jean of Mulberry, James “Jamie” Harper of Lake Wales, Eugene “Gene” Harper wife Sandy of Winter Haven, Theodore “Scooter” Harper of Lake Wales; sisters, Eula “Sister” Dyson of Alturas, Louearl Huston of Alabama; 5 beautiful grandchildren, Keegan and Kamden Harper, Danielle and Madison Cobb and Dalton Wilbanks; many nieces and nephews , and his lifelong fishing and hunting buddy Gene Tucker of Lake Wales. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 5:00 PM until service time at 6:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Faulkner and Brother Mikey Massey officiating.
