Fred William Shelton, 89

Fred William Shelton of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 at his residence.

He was born July 30, 1933 in Tennessee to the late Oviet and Etta Shelton; he moved to Lake Wales from Poinciana in 2018. Fred was a chauffeur and was a veteran of the United States Army. He attended Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lake Wales and Holy Redeemer in Kissimmee. He liked to hunt and fish and loved the country and being in nature.

Fred is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dolores Shelton; daughter, Kathleen Shelton of Saint Cloud; sons, Allen Shelton and wife Patricia of Massachusetts, Fred W. Shelton and partner Joe of Lake Wales, Richard Shelton and wife Tammie of Poinciana, Kevin Shelton and wife Sandi of Kissimmee, and Gary Shelton and wife Jennifer of Georgia; seven grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 19, 2022 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Memorial Gardens.
