Frank William Walker of Nalcrest passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the Parrish Medical Center due to heart failure.

He was born November 16, 1929 in Boston, MA to the late Charles & Evelyn Walker; he came here from Long Island, NY 12 years ago. He was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, a member of the St. Leo the Great’s Catholic Mission, and a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a founding member of the Bi-County Postal Federal Credit Union in Long Island, a member of the N.A.L.C., and president of Local #3018 in Huntington, NY.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Walker. Survivors include his daughter, Patriciaann Kupka of Lake Wales; son, Michael Walker of Titusville; sister, Mary Osborne of Atlanta, GA; and grandson, Michael Walker.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 5:00 PM, Sunday, December 7, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral in Lake Wales. Prayer services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 8, 2008 at the funeral home in Lake Wales. Interment will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 8, 2008 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
