Frank William “Bill” Anderson of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022 at his residence.

He was born June 11, 1937 in Anna, Illinois to the late Frank and Mary Anderson; he has been a lifelong resident of the area. Bill worked for GTE for 32 years. After retiring from GTE, Bill began a 27 year career at Florida’s Natural as an electronic technician. He also graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 2004 at age 66.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Wales and loved mission work. His mission work took him all over the world. His heart was drawn to the people of Tanzania East Africa where he had participated in mission work since 1985.

Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ann Busbee. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sybole Pruitt Anderson; daughter, Stacy Anderson Jenkins (Keith) of Frostproof; son, Frank Anderson (Joseph Mays) of Clarkesville, Georgia; grandchildren, Ryan Jenkins, and Kaleigh Mann; and four great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2022 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 2, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Lake Wales with Dr. Scott Markley. Interment will follow at Lake Wales Memorial Gardens.
