Frances Smith passed away Monday, August 25, 2008 at the Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale from respiratory failure.

Born February 4, 1928 in Port Huron, MI; she came here in 1979. She was the co-owner of Smith’s Pantry in Port Huron, Michigan and of the Lutheran faith. She enjoyed Bingo and playing cards.

Frances was preceded in death by her husband, C.W. Smith in 2006 and a grandson, Christian Smith in 1997. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon K. Smith of Winter Haven; sons, Rev. Larry W. Smith of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Stanley C. Smith of Largo and Dennis S. Smith of Port Huron, MI; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date with inurnment at the Lakeside Cemetery in Port Huron, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the charity of your choice.
