VERSAILLES, Ky. -- Mrs. Frances Mae Sherrow of Versailles, Ky., a winter resident of Polk County, died of heart failure Saturday (April 29, 2006) at Winter Haven Hospital. She was 87.

Born in Mercer County, Ky., on July 25, 1918, she was a winter resident of Polk County for the past seven years. She was an assembly line worker for Texas Instruments. She attended Wayside Baptist Church of Lake Wales and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Versailles.

Mrs. Sherrow was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Brogli Sherrow. She is survived by her daughter, Wilberta E. "Bert" Centers, Lake Wales; son, Marion "Buddy" Sherrow, Wilmore, Ky.; four grandchildren; 14 greatgrandchildren.

Services will be held later under the direction of Blackburn and Ward Funeral Homes, Versailles.
