Fran Caraway

Fran (Parrish) Caraway of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Advent Health Heart of Florida surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 2, 1939 in Fort Meade to the late William and Lucy Parrish; she has been a resident of Lake Wales since 1979. Fran was a homemaker, and a Paraprofessional at Frostproof Middle/Senior School for 22 years before retiring. She spent her time bowling, reading, and fishing and she loved to dance, sing, and sew. She was of the Protestant faith.

Fran was preceded in death by her brothers, Leslie Parrish, Kenneth Parrish, and Joseph Parrish. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alton Caraway; daughters, Cathy L. Johnson (Kenneth) of Sebring, Susan L. Deese (Scott) of Lakeland, and Stacey Sellers of Lake Wales; brother, Billy Ray Jackson of Yankeetown; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Pastor John Alton Caraway officiating.
