Florence Lee Bishop

Florence Bishop, 79, of Lake Wales, FL, formerly of Dyersburg, died Friday, August 7, 2020 at her residence.  Born June 22, 1941, she is the daughter of the late Howard and Viola Canada Ables.  She was a homemaker and attended the Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Don Layman with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 13 ^th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Rutkosky (Dan) of Lake Wales, FL, Debbie Burns (Anthony) of Dyersburg; one son, Terry Brown of Dyersburg, one sister, Shirley Weaver of Brandon, FL; one brother, Larry Ables of Newbern; six grandchildren, Anthony Dean, Trevor Brown, Keith Ables, Kevin Ables, Kim Watson, Angie Burns; and eight great-grandchildren, Kiley Dean, Mackayla Dean, Lucy Dean, Hayden Byrd, Alijah Halton, Asia Halton, Coleman Pride and Kirsten Pride.

Kevin Ables, Keith Ables, Darren Brown, Ryan Brown, Corey Gerok, Jeremy Elwood and Dylan Webber will serve as pallbearers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Fred Bishop, Jr.
