Fidel O’Campo, 73

Fidel O’Campo of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at AdventHealth Land O’ Lakes.

He was born August 21, 1948, in Acapulco, Mexico; he moved to Frostproof from Mexico 38 years ago. Fidel was retired from grove maintenance for Hunt Brothers Inc. and was a member of Iglesia de Nazareno in Lake Wales. He enjoyed singing and was active in his church.

Fidel was preceded in death by his mother, Amelia Barrera; daughter, Candy Greathouse; and grandchild, Leilani Greathouse. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Concepcion O’Campo; daughter, Sandra Escalante of Bartow; son, Fidel O’Campo of Frostproof; brother, Ylario Barrera of Guadalajara, Mexico; six grandchildren, Esmeralda Gauzin, Noe Gauzin, Letisia Zedawit, Victor Keanu Sanchez, Arriana Greathouse, and Saidth Sanchez; and great-grandchildren, Isla Blen Zedawit, and Rhea Zedawit.
