Evelyn G. Turner

Evelyn G. Turner of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Life Care Center in Winter Haven.

She was born April 29, 1926 in Lake Wales to the late Arthur & Virginia Gilbert; she was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a retired secretary for Citrus World and was an active member of the First Baptist Church. She was a past member of the Lake Wales Woman’s Club and a former member of the Christians Woman’s Club.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Sam E. Turner. Survivors include her daughter, Karen T. & John Clarke of Winter Haven; son, Scott & Linda Turner of Winter Haven; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
