Evelyn L. Summers

Evelyn L. Summers of Waverly passed away Monday, September 14, 2009 at her residence.

She was born February 28, 1920 in Kalamazoo, MI to the late Frank & Nola (Hawkins) Bachman; she was a longtime resident of the area coming from Michigan. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Waverly. She enjoyed building airplanes during World War II. She loved the Lord, sports, fishing and hunting.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Zeke Summers, two sisters, Zelda and Thelma and a brother, Loyal. Survivors include her sisters, Vickie Yost of Richport, IL and Arlene Randall of Waverly.

Memorial service will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, September 21, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Waverly with Rev. David Durham officiating.
