Evelyn H. Smith

Evelyn H. Smith of Frostproof passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 at her residence.

She was born October 14, 1923 in DeFuniak Springs, FL to the late William J. & Texan (Smith) Howell; and she moved from Lake Wales to Frostproof in 1967. She was a retired business manager for the Lake Wales Hospital and of the Baptist faith.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Chester A. Smith; and two sons, Harry Smith and Larry Smith. Survivors include her son, Jerry Michael Smith (Virginia) of Lake Wales; sisters, Hazel James of Lake Wales and Donna Readinger of Crystal River; 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof with Rev. Wrynn Collins officiating.
