Evelyn G. Prophit, 90

Evelyn G. Prophit of Indian Lake Estates passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at AdventHealth Lake Wales under the care of Vitas Hospice.

She was born December 12, 1931 in Monroe, Louisiana to the late Roy and Dona Gochenour; she moved to Indian Lake Estates from her hometown 37 years ago. Evelyn was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. She was an avid gardener, her favorite thing to grow was flowers, and was very fond of cats.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Prophit. She is survived by her sons, Matthew E. Prophit and wife Debra of Indian Lake Estates, Harry Prophit and wife Alice of Louisiana, and Rusty Prophit and wife Kathy of Winter Haven; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
