Evelyn E Peterson

Evelyn E. Peterson, 85 of Bartow passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

She was born October 31, 1928 in Blakely, Georgia to the late Roosevelt and Mary (Townsend) Ellis and has been a resident of the area since 2006 coming from Lakeland.
She was a retired Bookkeeper/Office Manager for Tex Gas Company and was of the Baptist Faith.

She is preceded in death by her Husband Willis B. Peterson, Daughter Linda Burton, Brothers Lewis Ellis and Hayward Ellis.

Survivors include Daughter Myrtice E. (Scott) Young of Bartow, Florida, Son; Ronald W. (Paula) Peterson Sr. of Lake Wales, Florida; Sisters; Gladys E. Rhodes of Donaldsonville, Georgia, Lois J. (Tom) Riley of Blakely, Georgia.
6 Grandchildren, Shawn Burton and Jeff Huggins, Alick S. Gerard IV, Rhonda Northey, April Taylor, Jr. Peterson and 7 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM , Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Jackson officiating of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
Interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time.
