Eugene G. Turk of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008.

Born April 5, 1936 in Joliet, IL; he moved here with his wife Judy 12 years ago. After a 40 year career with Sears Roebuck, he retired as a Sears Store Manager in Saginaw, MI. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lake Wales and served in the U.S. Army. He was a man of deep faith and very active in his church. He was a friend to all who knew him. He touched many lives, especially through his involvement with AA.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Turk of Lake Wales; daughters, Mary Cay Manning of Orlando and Lynne Turk of Apopka; sons, Gerald Turk of Bay City, MI and David Turk of Saginaw, MI; step-sons, Jeffrey Sargent of Seminole, Kirk Sargent of Key West and Douglas Sargent of Marietta, GA; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 PM until service time at 3:30 PM, Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Markley officiating. For those who wish, donations may be sent to the First Baptist Church, 338 East Central Avenue, Lake Wales, FL 33853.
