Eugene W. "Gene" Pearson

Eugene W. "Gene" Pearson of Indian Lake Estates passed away Monday, August 9, 2010 at Winter Haven Hospital.

He was born September 21, 1922 in Mulberry, KS to the late Tom & Rolande Pearson; he came here 28 years ago from Madisonville, KY. He was a retired mine manager for Peabody Coal Co., was of the Protestant faith and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was also a fishing guide.

Eugene was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Pearson in 1975. Survivors include his wife, Edna Pearson; daughters, Patricia Gene Forsythe (Henry) of Marion, IL and Vickie Sue Daigneault (Dennis) of Toronto, Canada; son, Gerry Lee Pearson (Mitzy) of Heath, TX; step-daughters, Debra Reiss (KG) of Portville, NY and Annette Tucker of Eagle Lake; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be held in Clinton, Missouri. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
