Eugene Edward Graves, 83
Eugene E. Graves of Frostproof, Florida passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Advent Healthcare in Sebring.
He was born August 18, 1936 in Frankfort, Indiana to the late Thomas G. and Dollie (Smelser) Graves. He has been a resident of the area since 1996 coming from Indiana. He was a retired Security Officer for General Motors. Eugene was a Volunteer and served as a Deacon, a long time grounds keeper and maintenance man for the First Baptist Church in Frostproof he also sang in the Choir and was part of the Disaster Relief and Rescue. He was a Volunteer Fireman, loved being a farmer, fishing, camping, collecting toy tractors and equipment. He was a wonderful husband and family man.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years Dixie (Terhune) Graves, sons Rex Graves of Frostproof, FL, Andrew Graves (Tamara) Nashville, TN, Timothy Graves of Marion, IN, Bradley Graves (Dana) of San Antonio, TX, sisters Jessie Gillam, of Kokomo, IN, Wilma Smith of Kokomo, IN, brother George Graves (Lana) of Russiaville, IN, 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 3:30pm until service time at 4:30pm at the First Baptist Church in Frostproof with the Rev. Darrol Hood officiating.
