Etta Monday, 92, of Fort Meade passed away Friday, December 28, 2007 at her residence.

Born August 3, 1915 in Miller County, GA; she came here from Georgia in 1943. She was a retired citrus inspector for Citrus World and attended the First Assembly of God Church in Lake Wales. She enjoyed her vegetable garden, growing flowers and taking care of her family.

Etta was preceded by her husband, Curtis Monday in 1995. Survivors include her daughter, Claudette Monday of Live Oak; son, Robert Monday of Fort Meade; brother, Bruton McCormick of LaBelle; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 03, 2007 at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
