LAKE WALES--Esther Fern Gable, 76, of Lake Wales died Friday, August 24, 2007 at her home.

Born April 21, 1931 in Lake Wales; she was a lifelong resident of Lake Wales. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Temple Pentecostal Church.

Mrs. Gable was preceded in death by her husband, Americus Gable. Survivors include her daughters, Martha & Fred Hunt of Babson Park; Teresa Prather of Lake Wales; sons, Cecil Locke of Lake Wales; Roy Gene & Sharon Locke of Mt. Airy, NC; Benjamin & Christine Gable of Babson Park, Florida; brothers, Bernard Walburn of Lake Wales; Royce Walburn of Mercer, MO; Howard Walburn of Lake Wales; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; & close friends, Virginia Marvel of Lake Wales; Roy & Beth Bryant of Lake Wales.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Calvary Temple Pentecostal Church with Pastor Jasper Wine officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
