Erma Gladys Cockrell

Erma Gladys Cockrell of Lake Wales passed away October 25, 2009 at the Lifecare Center in Winter Haven.

She was born December 9, 1930 in Tibitha, VA, to the late Raymond Otis and Annie Erma (Jett) Dawson; and came to the Lake Wales area in 1974 from Burgess, VA. She was a homemaker, a member of South Lake Wales Church of God, and loved gardening vegetables and flowers.

Survivors include her husband William Cockrell; sons, Orvin Raymond Cockrell, Sr. of Burgess, VA, Dennis Dean Cockrell of Caret, VA; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 14, 2009 at South Lake Wales Church of God, with Rev. Bob Beckler officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Warner Southern College.
