E.R. Boyett

E. R. Boyett of Winter Haven passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 4, 1926 in Iron City, GA to the late Reason & Virginia Elizabeth (Davis) Boyett; he has been a resident of Florida for 59 years which included 47 years in Lake Wales and 12 years in Winter Haven. He was a retired painting contractor, attended the First Assembly of God Church and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Boyett was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Virginia Boyett in 1999; a daughter, Bobbie Evelyn Shepard; 3 brothers, Sam, Homer and J.B. Boyett; and 1 sister, Alma Boyett. Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Brown of Winter Haven; three sons, Luther Russell Boyett of Gulf Breeze, Timothy Wayne Boyett of Mississippi and Frank Sanford of Winter Haven; a sister, Gladys Register of Orlando; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the funeral service at 2:00 pm Friday, December 2, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Charles Edward Cook officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
