Emma Laura Dasinger

Emma L. Walters Dasinger, 88, of Frostproof, Florida passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Life Care Center of Winter Haven. She was born on December 11, 1927 in Union, Mississippi to the late Thomas and Della (Crocker) Rowell and she has been a resident of this area for 62 years moving here from Mississippi. She was a homemaker. Emma was devoted to her family, loved to cook, enjoyed gardening, shopping and sports. She was a member of First Baptist of Frostproof. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dasinger. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Walters Meyer of Bartow; son, Keith (Beck) Walters of Frostproof, Florida; brothers, Jack and Jimmy Rowell of Mississippi; 4 grandchildren, Melissa Diebold, Kelly Baxter, Jennifer Walters and Jason Walters; 6 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home of Frostproof with Rev. Darrol Hood officiating. Interment will be held at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
