Elva Rivas

Elva Rivas of Frostproof, Florida passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at Florida Hospital Heartland.

She was born July 19, 1943 in Matamoros, Mexico to the late Rafael and Guadalupe (Gamboa)

Garcia. She has been a resident of the area for 33 years coming from Mexico. She was a Homemaker and of the Catholic Faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband Elias Rivas.

She is survived by her daughters Laura Rivas, Diana Rojas, Socorro Rivas, Juana Hernandez, Elva Cisneros, Gloria Garcia, Esmeralda Garcia, Andrea Rivas, Alma Rodriguez, Maria Rivas, sons Felipe Rivas, Mario Rivas, Jesus Rivas, sisters Enedelia Ortiz, Refugio Garcia, brothers Jose Garcia, Hector Garcia, Manuel Garcia, 120 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 23, 2016 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home Frostproof with Visitation Wednesday December 21, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM and Thursday December 22, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home Frostproof. Interment will be held at Silver Hill Cemetery.
