Ellis M. Roaten, 71, passed away Friday, June 6, 2008 at his residence in Lake Wales.

Born June 1, 1937 in Dale, AR; he came here from Dundee in 1991. He was a retired truck driver and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Rosa Roaten of Lake Wales; daughters, Teresa M. Roaten of Fort Myers; Sandra Jean Roaten of Crossville, AL; sons, David M. Roaten of Arcadia; Carl E. Roaten Jr of Memphis, TN; Jimmy Dale Roaten of Cobert, AR; brothers, Bobby Joe Roaten of Iron City, GA; Charles William Roaten of Ruskin; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church in Bartow.
