BABSON PARK -- Mr. Elliott E. Evans of Babson Park died of heart failure Wednesday (July 12, 2006) at The Groves Center. He was 86.

Born in Atlanta on Nov. 23, 1919, he came to Babson Park from Fort Lauderdale in 1969. He was a retired mechanic for Crumbly Brothers Citrus Harvesting. He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Frostproof.

Mr. Evans is survived by his wife of 64 years, Hazel Evans; daughter, Wanda Boggs, Winter Haven; son, Wade E. Evans, Live Oak; one grandson; one great-granddaughter.

Graveside services will be at 11 this morning at Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof.
