Ellen E. Hancock

Ellen E. Hancock of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Palm Gardens of Winter Haven.

She was born May 23, 1938 in Darwin, VA; and she came here from Lake Placid 40 years ago. She was a homemaker and member of God’s Revival Center by Faith in Wahneta. She enjoyed taking care of her family.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hancock and a daughter, Regina Hancock. Survivors include her daughters, Tina Stanley of Belleview and Pam Mercer (John) of Babson Park; sons, Charles Hancock II (Darlene) of Lake Wales and Steven Hancock of Lake Wales; sister, Violet Hancock of Gainesville; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the Lake Wales Memorial Gardens.
