Elizabeth Tucker

Elizabeth B. Tucker of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, October 09, 2013 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, Florida.

She was born May 17, 1943 in Aline, Georgia to the late Tommie and Sally C. (Jones) Bowen and has been a lifelong resident of the area. She was a homemaker, in her earlier years she worked at Alcoma Packing House and Florida Natural Growers; she attended Lake Wales Fellowship Dining @ senior center, was a member of River Ranch Hunting Association and was a member of the Westside Baptist Church of Lake Wales.

Liz was preceded in death by her Husband, Tommy Newton Tucker, Sr. in 1995; daughter, May Louise Tucker Chapman in 2007

Survivors include her daughter, Fay Tucker Price of Lake Wales; sons, Tommy Newton Tucker Jr. and wife Karen of Lake Wales, Richard Lee Tucker Sr. and wife Tracy of Lake Wales; brother, Paul Bowen of Polk City; 12 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren

The family will receive friends from 1:00 Pm until the funeral service at 2:00 Pm Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Marion Nelson Funeral home with Rev. David Durham officiating.

Interment will be held at Whidden Cemetery.

Those who wish may assist the family with funeral expenses in lieu of flowers.
