LAKE WALES -- Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Sharp of Lake Wales died of heart failure Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2006) at Lake Wales Medical Center. She was 93.

Born in Wales, Great Britain, on Nov. 7, 1912, she came to Lake Wales from Westchester, Pa., in 1973. She was a retired saleswoman for Friedlander's Department Store. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.

Mrs. Sharp was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Sharp. She is survived by her niece, Ann Coleman, Wales, United Kingdom; nephews, David Jones, Wales, John Jones, Germany.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
