Elizabeth Jane Rainey, 78, of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008 due to heart failure at her residence in Lake Wales.

Born August 24, 1929 in Pittsburg, PA; she came to Lake Wales from St. Petersburg in 1988. She was a manager for a dry cleaning business in St. Pete and Texas. She was of the Presbyterian faith and loved her cats

Elizabeth was preceded by her husband, Charles E. Rainey, and son, William D. “Bill” Hoffman. Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Derk of Lakeland and Peggy Jean Rainey of San Marcos, TX; 6 grandchildren, Mark Hoffman of Delray Beach, Leslie Smith of Lake Wales, Adam Derk of Wellington, Andrew Mining, Taylor Mining and Ryan Mining all of San Marcos, TX; and 3 grandchildren, Sofia, Layne and David.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, June 13, 2008 at Lake Wales Cemetery, Lake Wales. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823.
