Elizabeth S. “Betty” Paden, 92

Elizabeth S. “Betty” Paden of Lake Wales passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

She was born July 13, 1930 in Belfast, Maine to the late Emery and Charlotte Sprague; she moved to Lake Wales from Covington, Georgia in 1995. Betty was a homemaker and a member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano and organ.

Betty was preceded in death by her son, David P. Groves. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Cliff Paden; daughters, Gay G. Beers of Unity Maine, and Dawn I. Groves of Mililani, Hawaii; son, Dan S. Groves of Winter Port, Maine; sister, Barbara Hinckley of Belfast, Maine; brother, Bruce Sprague of Zellwood, Florida; five grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 4, 2023 at The Seventh Day Adventist Church in Lake Wales.
