Eleanor L. Chambers

Eleanor L. Chambers of Lake Wales passed away Sunday, September 13, 2009 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

She was born February 7, 1928 in Paterson, NJ to the late Nicholas & Sadie (VanTeyens) Prins; she has been a resident of Lake Wales for 14 years, she came here from Frostproof where she lived for 3 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church from Frostproof. She was also a Sunday school teacher in Clifton, NJ.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Howard Chambers; son, Daniel Howard Chambers (Stephanie) of Lake Wales; brothers, Robert Prins of Grand Rapids, MI and Harvey Prins of Albany, NY; sister, Edith Wiebenga of McBain, MI; 2 grandchildren, Joey Chambers of Lake Wales and Kristy Chambers of Lake Wales; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
