Eldra "Big Granny" Faircloth

Eldra Faircloth, 94, of Frostproof passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born January 12, 1917 in Metter, GA to the late Charles & Mollie (Burke) Miles; and came here from Brunswick, GA in 1952. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Eldra was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Faircloth and a daughter, Jeneva Faircloth. Survivors include her daughter, Jonell Peavy and Jenette Wilkerson (Stonnie) both of Frostproof; sons, Neal Earl Faircloth of Frostproof, Carroll E. Faircloth (Tina) of Frostproof and Darrell G. Faircloth all of Frostproof; sister, Theoler Boyette of Georgia; 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 until the funeral service at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with Rev. Wrynn Collins officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
